Psalm thoughts - 7 June 2019
In whom shall I trust to save me
From this life of misery?
Who will keep me distant from sin
And banish my sorrow too?
When storms beat upon my windows, threatening to destroy, whose refuge will I seek?
Thy mercy, O Lord, will I plead, unceasingly,
In humility
Full of faith
Thy goodness, O Lord, will I acknowledge,
All my days upon this earth
Thy infinite wisdom, O Lord, will I trust,
With all my might, mind and strength to give
O Lord, wilt thou rescue me? O Lord, grant me Thy relief
-----
For my sins thou didst suffer
For my pains thou didst bleed
In agony, Thou didst endure for me
Thy love was pure,
In meekness, Thou didst conquer all
-----
My life, I would give to Thee freely
Thy life, in purity, had Thou given for me
How can I match Thy love? How can I repay?
I cannot. Thou blesses me still - a fountain of Living Waters cannot be dried up
So I will ascend my voice to the heavens
With glory will I praise Thee evermore
Thou hast loved me forever
And engraven me upon thy feet and hands
No more will I deny Thee
No more, no more
I will love Thee forever
In Thy peace I will seek rest
Thou hast loved me forever
In Thee, my life I have found.
